Management of the 23 Degrees Sport Team
Justin Leov, New Zealand’s Top 10 World Cup Rider, will race for the Yeti-Fox Racing Factory Team in 2006. Leov, who was a 23 Degrees rider at the end last season, signed with Yeti Cycles in late 2005. However, the team had to wait to announce the full roster of sponsors and riders.
After a successful 2005 season, where he won his first ever World Cup podium at Angel Fire, USA, the 21-year-old Kiwi is excited to join his first factory racing team. Justin won his National Series and had steady top 10 World Cup results.
I am thrilled to be joining the Yeti Fox Racing Factory Team. They are serious about pushing the boundaries of bike design and they are passionate about racing. With the help and confidence Yeti & Fox have shown in me, their equipment is great. I am confident that I will achieve my personal goals. Justin, who is currently in Rotorua (New Zealand) doing additional training and testing on the 2006 World Championships course, expressed excitement about riding the Yeti 303DH at this year’s Worlds.
Chris Conroy, Yeti Cycles President & General Manager is equally thrilled about Justins new relationship. Justin can race the World Cup as a privateer without any support and finishes in the top 15. That speaks volumes about his ability as a racer. He could soon be among the top 13 cm with the factory ride and all the support he requires.
Justin will race on the entire World Cup circuit, as well as select Norba events and any other races that are within his schedule. Justin has a multi-year contract. Justin’s first major event will be next month’s Sea Otter Classic in California, where he will meet his teammates Jared Graves (Aus), Rich Houseman and Ross Milan.
