You have to work hard to be a potato farmer, not just because you have to love it first and then you have to do a lot of rotation on your farm because the more rotation you do, the better your crop is and right now we’re lucky we got a lot of families and a lot of people are retired and they come back to help us on the harvest time. And then we got a lot of, a lot of the gas situation, diesel and the price could be always a little bit better and we expect it to be much better. If we could sell our crop a barrel about 12 to 15 dollars we’d be all right. Less than that we’re just getting even and you know farming now is the main source of eating. You have to know what, how you do it and what you put in and because it’s all environments now. Quality control is very important, if you don’t have the quality you ain’t gonna sell for long because we sell a lot to McCain Food, and I can tell you one thing, if you go to the plant McCain Food you can eat on the floor. Now it’s a big business, you deal with a lot of people and you have to have a certain knowledge of what you’re doing.

Are you concerned about the use of pesticide?
Everybody is, I want to live old. I would not put anything on my potatoes that I don’t, that I wouldn’t eat myself.
